WHEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
it's been awhile eh....haw haw! i don't really have much of an excuse for not posting on here other than that i have been a lazy cunt and well simply put, i have lost my zest for blogging. That doesn't necessarily mean this blog is nearing its point of extinction...far from it. Its demise though inevitable will surely be prolonged as long as i'm alive and kicking...and no, i'm not going to kick the bucket anytime soon. So you fuckers out there who hate my guts( last i counted the numbers have shot up to little more than a few hundred thousand) with your voodoo dolls and bomoh assisted curses, you've a long wait you miserable bastards! i apologise for the overwhelming amount of profanities being carelessly thrown about on this post...i guess i am just a little over excited after my long hiatus. I promise to display a little more self control in my subsequent posts, though i don't suppose that will be any time soon, which would consequently mean another outburst of expletitives the next time i feel like i need to come on here to express myself.
Few of the idiots who i refer to as my friends have gone on holidays overseas. One to California, and the other to India(rajasthan i assume). We'll miss you here vikram. Football just isn't the same without you...for better or for worse...*cough*. As for my "friend" who's confused about his ethnic roots, get your arse back here as soon as possible eh...I WANT MY BRAND NEW LEVIS!!!!! But ofcourse that is not to say you aren't missed as well....err for...err reasons which i can't think of at present..err due to my err...catatonic state of mind..err yeah.. that's my excuse for the day.
Anyways, thank god for the World Cup to help maintain my sanity(some would question that...ok a little more than some), otherwise i would have flipped it and would have to be admitted to a nut house. This World Cup thus far has definitely looked far more promising than the last few. Lots of great goals and some truly outstanding football played. Argentina were out of this world against the hapless Serbians who must have wished the game ended at half time as they were meticulously toyed with before being mercilessly dispatched. That 24 pass move that resulted in the 2nd goal was the stuff of fantasy football that one would have trouble replicating on Winning Eleven nevermind on a football pitch . In a World Cup in which Brazil has yet to live up to its reputation in terms of performances( the likes of Ronaldhino and Adriano have looked ordinary, while Ronaldo has simply been atrocious) , it is a welcome relief that Argentina have stepped up their game and play more "Brazilian" than the Brazilians themselves! And ofcourse one cannot stop waxing lyrical about Ghana's performance against the Czechs perhaps marred a little by the tactical ineptitude and plain studpidity of some of their forwards. The next time i see that clown Ping Pong or whatever his name is take to the field, i swear i will break something....useless waste of space that he is. Anyway, thanks to that win, we can expect a cracking game between the Italians and the Czechs. And i can't wait to see Ghana kick the shite out of the americans...haw haw! that would be a highly entertaining amd hugely satisfying game! As for England, i can only hope they will redeem themselves against the Swedes after 2 of the most mindnumbingly dull performances i've seen at the World Cup.Fortunately for them, they are placed in a relatively easy group and have managed to scrape some arguably undeserved wins. They'll get torn apart though by a half decent side, and sweden will prove to be a much sterner test than Paraguay und Trinidad and fuckin Tobago!. Now, we'll just have to wait and see how that game turns out.
There a few upcoming movies i'm looking forward to. One would be the long awaited return of Superman on celluloid, Superman Returns and the other a swedish horror flick Frost Bite. I fully expect Superman Returns to blow X-men: The Last Stand away to the distant realms where functional but forgettable films(i'm being kind here) are condemned for eternity. I may seem a little too over confident of the prospect of Superman Returns being good. But that is a testament to the amount of faith i have in director Bryan Singer to conjure up a memorable high quality film worthy of his reputation. As for Frost Bite, i don't know a great deal about the film, nothing actually, but i am curious. Plus i have developed a fetish for foreign films which i reckon are usually superior to the average film hollywood dishes out with such alarming regularity. Currently there aren't many decent films showing at the theatres(which can be a good thing when one is low on financial resources). This is probabaly the worst period of the year for quality films...what one would describe as a "lull period" for movie goers. The last film i watched on the big screen was a local film Love Story ,directed by err forgot the bloke's name, which is excellent by any standards. Perhaps a little too arty , slow paced and dense for mainstream viewers, the film is a highly engaging mind bender. Unlike the usuall hollywood popcorn flick, you aren't supposed to leave your brain at the door. In fact you are encouraged to bring it along in a highly alert state. Take that as my piece of advice if you ever intend to watch this film.
well, i guess i have run out of things to say, and will end it here. Be sure to check back for my next post which will make its way in another few hundred years...till then...err toodles?!!
