Sunday Football
With the dearth of decent movies currently showing at the theatres...unless dross like Red Eye (oh alright,..it wasn't that bad) and The Longest Yard is your cup of tea, and ticket prices ridiculously high(though honestly,..is there any surprise considering how piracy and P2P networking has ruined it for these poor bastards :D), one might want to seek other alternatives which are cheaper and which arguably offer far more entertainment.
If you are one such individual,..WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!!! HEAD DOWN OVER TO HOUGANG PRIMARY ON SUNDAYS AT 530PM! What you will witness is the most passionate, colouful violent, heated and explosive display of football that would make Rooney and his EPL "band of brothers" seem like sanitised squeaky clean champions of fairplay. As the competitive spirit goes into overdrive ,upped by several notches(the cause of this is usually some fuckheaded idea of a bet over something like ice kachang...yes you heard it right), as the tackles go flying in, and violent shoves are mistaken(deliberately ofcourse)for bodychecks ,volatile tempers are provoked, confrontations take shape and vulgar expletitives are unleashed recklessly about with no manner of regard for sportsmanship (yeah right!), the court is transformed into a cauldron of seething ill will and hatred just waiting to erupt!
But ofcourse such manner of chaos cannot go unchecked and has to be subdued before it gets to a point where someone gets killed. So we have a law enforcer whose sole purpose is to maintain some form of order(please note that an 'absolute' form of order is near impossible to maintain and such an act would only serve to lower entertainment levels...if that's the case,..you might as well stay at home and watch arts central)before the beautiful game of football degenerates into bloody warfare.Such a consequence would be extremely unclassy wouldn't it...yes it would be... So who would take up such an arduous task that demands so much....Who would be courageous enough to come forth and take responsibility to uphold the values that shape the noble nature of this wonderful sport..... Well.. who else but yours truly(no surprise there ,is there?)....a physical embodiment of fairness, fortitude, good will ,temperament and a whole list of traits that make me superior to the average human. So, if you have worries concerning your own safety,...be comforted with the knowledge that i'll be there policing, maintaining and protecting.
Oh,...by the way,..since the venue is on school property, entry is unfortunately not free and gate fees are charged at 5 dollars per entry ( the sum collected from gate receipts go to our football preservation fund).... So i hope to to see you all there.
