I had my German exam yesterday,..so well for one thing that just means no more German. I'm home now alone(my parents have gone to visit relatives in "Mongolia") and i'm feeling pretty much bored with not much else to do. I've spend the last couple of days watching anime and mostly just chatting with space monkeys on msn. As for the exam,..well i think i'd be screwed under normal circumstances. But hopefully the fact that i manged to somehow pass both my written and oral tests mean would help me scrape through with at least a D..haw haw! The paper wasn't like the most difficult, but i suppose the little matter that i spend just a couple of hours before the exam to study for it would go some way in explaining why i had some... ahem... diffiiculties. Anyways, that's hardly something that concerns me now. Right now, i'm just contemplating how i'm gonna spend the rest of my holidays before my industrial attachment in July. Sigh,...i can't be spending the rest of the holidays simply watching dvds i've leeched from messy haired guy or downloading anime. It doesn't help that both Lost and Desperate housewives have recently come to a season end.
Well, i do have a couple of novels that i bought recently to finsih up on. I'm only like one fifth into Choke( by the author of Fight club), but thus far its been pretty good. It hasn't blown me away like Fight club did, but i suppose that would change as i progress further. I haven't really been in the mood to read in recent times, but i guess i have little choice now when its the only means i have to keep myself occupied, other watching movies and anime ofcourse. ..haw haw!
My leg's on a slow road to recovery, but i'm guessing it will be alright in about another week so i can get my football shoes on and get out there and slide some cunt!... Sounds dramatic..yeah i know...but it's true. I suppose it's a good thing too that my leg's "broken', so i'll have no excuse changing my mind about going to the gig this sunday with Babayaro(It's football sunday you see)... I don't think she'd take too kindly to that as i was warned politely by her..haw haw! Anyways, the chinese physican(the blind one) certainly did a good job twisting the shit out of my leg. That and that horrible tasting medicine have served its purpose so far in healing my knee. It has reaffirmed my belief(whatever that was left of it) that modern medicine isn't always the way to go...yeah right..
Can't wait to watch Batman Begins when it opens next week..err..it's next week right...ahh doen't matter..i'll watch it when it opens. According to some reviews that i've browsed through thus far, this is supposedly the best Batman flick ever to make it to the big screen and Christian Bale is the best batman ever... Yeah well, i wouldn't be too surprised if Christian Bale turns out being the best caped crusader ever,...i mean..that guy was magnificent in American Psycho... And this might just be THE Batman movie considering the director and the cast ... But i'm not too certain if it'll be my favourite. Can anything replace Tim burton's gothic master piece at the top of the pile for me? ...(And by that i refer to Batman Returns...and not the overrated Batman..yes it's good but it's a one man show) Tim burton is by no means a great filmmaker..but few surpass him when it comes to visual splendour. Whether you like his movies or not, they are always terrific to look at. And i'm one of those who loves his movies with the exception of Planet Of The Apes which was an ill advised remake...but atleast that still had Tim Roth..haw haw! Anyways i am not expecting this new Batman flick to be visually on par or superior to Tim Burton's vision,..but i suppose it could be one of far more substance. Oh, and by the way to all those who didn't know , this movie is inspired by Frank miller's Batman:year 1. So together with Sin City, Frank miller has been directly or indirectly responsible for what could be 2 of the best movies of the year which are also 2 of the best movies ever to be inspired by/based on a graphic novel or comic!
