Lost my wallet last night at Jurong west extension just outside campus....sigh. I think it dropped off my pocket or something. It happened shortly after i bought a drumstick at a pasar malam. Vikram keeps telling me how i wouldn't have lost it if i hadn't taken out my wallet to pay for the drumstick which by the way was a dollar fifty and hardly worth it! ARRGHHH! My wallet containing 95 dollars and my ez link card with atleast 3 weeks worth of student concession all gone...just like that! It's a case of it being there in my pocket one moment and then doing a houdini the next! FUCK! i just wish i had been more careful,..but i for the life of mine cannot imagine how i could have lost it. It's remotely possible i got pickpocketed though that remains the least likely possibilty. I'm going to feel miserable about this loss niggling at the back of my head for the next 2 weeks. Thanks to the kindness of members of the Clan of Ragavendra,...i can go on surviving on borrowed cash for the rest of the week. I hope i atleast get back my wallet. Marie bought me that for christmas back in 2003..sigh.

The Silence Of The Nightingale

Hall 5 Blk 31 is the residence of its most talented singer, the Nightingale. The Nightingale is a title bestowed upon him by none other than one who harbours me illegally at his room, Vikram Gronkjaer. Vikram is the Nightingale's biggest fan,..and he's always waxing lyrical over his astounding voice that puts many of our very own Singapore idol contestants to shame(which in itself isn't much of an achievement to be honest).

It was thursday 13 January. i was on the comp in vikram's room when Vikram walked in , bitching about the Nightingale. Apparently, the Nightingale was having his shower,... and accompanied by his usual "heavenly" singing voice. Curious, i decided that i should pay this Nightingale individual a visit, since i've never ever actually heard him sing.

As i stepped into the toilet, the inhuman voice that emanated from the middle shower room almost knocked me senseless. I never thought it was possible to hear someone with such dreadful vocals attempt to sing so confidently completely unawareb of the damage he was doing to the ear drums of innocent bystanders. So i decided, that i should do the public a service by silencing this nuisance who was responsible for massive noise pollution.

I strolled up to the first shower room just beside the center one where he was taking his shower. There was no one else present in the toilet at that juncture. I rotated the shower head so that it pointed up 45 degreess to the right in the direction of the center shower room . Then swiftly i turned on the tap to its fullest, and made a run for it. The Nightingale's reaction was instantaneous. It was something along the lines of "OH shit!!!", as cold water fell upon him from above, followed by a completely sissy sounding yell which went something like "HEYYYYY"... Haw Haw!..It was pure delirium! Haw Haw! As i reached Vikram's room.. i simply kicked my sandals aside, and ran inside! The feeling of rush was immense! It felt great being the cause someone's torment though i personally didn't have anything against this person...ok except maybe his horrific singing.

Well, the next time the Nightingale decides to get back to his old singing ways,...you can bet on me being there to silence the bastard! When society is plagued by the ills of bad singing,...the darkness of thy will be unleashed to overwhelm and truimph over the disease.

Scouse Bastards Lose! (No Offense To Merseyside Blue)

What a performance from the red devils as they once again destroy the Bin Dippers at Anfield,..courtesy of Agent Dudek, our faithful servant. That's a double over the Bin Dippers for this season,..though these days that doesn't mean much!

The most "disgusting" aspect of the match was perhaps the fact that i was asleep for the whole of the first half..FUCK! Luckily, i managed to catch the half time highlights... and Dudek's blunderwhich resulted in Rooney scoring(completely "disgusting")..haw haw! Keane had a shot which came off the under side of the cross bar. It would have been game set and match if that had gone in! Benitez's Spanish armada were as "disgustingly" ineffective against British grit as ever... I think they only have 2 truly quality players from all that junk they imported from Spain. It didn't help that one was on his debut(as good as he's at debuts, Morientes is still finding match fitness), and the other wasn't even playing(bless Lampard).

The second half saw Wes Brown getting sent off for a second bookable offence. The fuckin referee was on their side all the way with his decisons, though he wasn't dodgy enough to award a penalty! The defense without Rio and Gary were top notch, as Silvestre and my personal favourite Heinze snuffed out any possible threat Liverpool's highly impotent attack could muster. That tackle on Morientes in the penalty was top drawer! Scholes and Keane ruled midfield and reduced Gerrad and Hamman to mere passengershaw haw! Liverpool managed just 2 shots the whole game, a "disgusting" performance which offerred no clearer indicator of how far behind United they are in terms of quality and class, though United were under strength. i can imagine them getting hammered, if Giggs had played and Brown had not got himself sent off.

The result offered mild consolation to the "disgusting" fact that Chelsea can't stop winning and are now 11 points ahead. But on the plus side,..Arsene's wankers lost! haw haw haw! That means we're just a point behind and we could very well make atleast that second position ours! Arsenal seem to be crumbling and that's just lovely! Chelsea don't look like they are going to falter at the moment,..but as we know in football,..anything is possible!

Of A Broken Heart

if only i die
just once in my life
if only to try
to take a guess, to be the best
a feeling i hide
that runs this world, that keeps us alive
i want you to climb with me

until i die of a broken heart
a broken heart
until i die of a broken heart
a broken heart
until i die

the heart of a child
is in your hands now
so let's see you smile'cause i'm not impressed with your loneliness
and it's been a while
since you forgave all your changes made
so let's count the miles together

until i die of a broken heart
a broken heart
until i die of a broken heart
a broken heart
until i die of a broken hearta broken heart
until i die

if only i die
just once in my life
if only to try together

until i die of a broken hearta broken heart
until i die of a broken hearta broken heart
until i die of a broken hearta broken heart
until i die

Friday night (or Saturday morning) was splendid! Stayed over night at Vikram's place, and we played X box and cards the whole night. We had the Lord, Dhino, Sulaiman, Afzal and Mathieu over that night. The alcohol assisted in keeping us awake..haw haw! Mind you it wasn't beer(ok maybe just a little beer)...Me and Vikram had bought some wine(a vain attempt to become more cultured and sophisticated). Dhino bought some Doritos which went well along with the wine. We started the night with Halo(everyone's favourite game), followed by DEf Jam and Burnout 3. Later, a few of us got together in Vikram's room to play cards. We taught Dhino how to play Bridge, and were marvelled by his mind games that completely fooled everyone! Afzal had a game the following evening and went to sleep around 6am, while the Lord knocked out at close to 7am. Mathieu left a little while after that. The remaining 4 of us, Sulaiman, Dhino, Vikram and i played non-stop tai ti (we enjoyed the sight of the rising sun viewed from the open balcony, accompanied by some good soothing music) all the way till 12pm.

The Highlight of yesterday was surely the Tiger Cup final match first leg played between Sigapore and Indonesia. Some awful defending and indiscipline resulted in Indonesia conceding 3"disgusting" goals before scoring a flukey deflected goal in stoppage time. The result was unexpected(no one expected Sungapore to score 3 goals playing away)..but the late Indonesian goal meant it was not a foregone conclusion since Indonesia still have everything to play for in the 2nd leg. Indonesia's come back against Malaysia when they were losing 3-1 on aggregate, and then scoring 4"disgusting" goals to win the semi -final clearly supports the theory for a Indonesian comeback in the 2nd leg final. That will be one hell of a match to look forward to next Sunday, after the Manchester United vs Liverpool match on Saturday! It's going to be a blockbuster football weekend!

Watching the United game the other day,..and damn those bastards were lucky the match officals were suffering from acute myopia...fuck! Roy Carrol's blunder was less shocking than that of the referee and the lines man. Well that's one point earned rather than 2 points dropped, even if we're 11 points adrift of Chelsea. Was reading the New Paper today, and i was shocked to discover that British Bookmakers William HIll paid out on Pedro Mendes' disallowed goal to punters who backed Mendes to score the first goal. Also, they refunded all bets placed on spurs to win. Haw HAw! Fucking weird! If they keep doing this for every controvesial decison that affects the result of a game from now on, they are going to be paying out a lot more!

Anyway, i'm just looking forward to the liverpool vs United game on the 15th. That's going to be a cracker! We need to rip those scouse bastards apart at Anfield. If can just keep Gerrad in check, it shouldn't be a problem.

My legs are dead! I would attribute that to close to 6 hours of football with little break yesterday. It was fuckin crazy! But seriously, i don't ever remember playing so much football in one day ever before. The Lord and I had to literally drag ourselves back to our rooms after that. Football was fun though, though it was difficult to keep up with the pace in the latter stages when tiredness set in and i began getting cramps all over my body. But nonetheless, it was some experience!

Looking forward to a whole bunch of movies coming out in the next couple of months, like The Aviator, Hotel Rwanda, Finding Neverland, Constantine.... It's going to be a blast! December wasn't the best month for movies, except for Kung Fu hustle and maybe Saw. So here's hoping that the next couple of months will provide a much better experience at the theaters.

Oh and one last comment reserved for Cheeky,.... do what you need to do at home...not at the office!

Happy Fuckin New Year

Well, about that,..went to sleep at 6am and just woke up. At Vikram's place right now.Vikram isn't back yet! We wrecked his place...turned it completely upside down!!! But atleast me and the Lord cleaned up...haw haw haw! Wait till he comes back and finds all that beer cans and bottles in his fridge!

We had Dhino, Matthew(Dhino's french friend who brought the champagne), Afzal, Ash( Afzal's friend or girl friend..god knows) and even Aneez(extreme times require extreme measures),.. Sometimes if you need more people in the house to make up the numbers, you can either invite the lowlife homeless on the street or you invite Aneez. We went with aneez this time. We also had another of Afzal's friend(can't recall his name).. We have to thank him for all the alcohol and food he provided. Aziz, Cheeky, Tajong Pagar Gopi, and Arjun all couldn't make it.

I didn't actually get wasted like what Dhino(that prick) is trying to portray on my tagboard, ..cause i never drank too much anyway. Anyway, we spent the night playing xbox.(Dhino for teh record, lost 2-0 using Argentina to the Lord's Sweden playing pro evolution and got completely thrashed by Matthew playing Burnout 3), cards(The Lord refused to do his forfeit of performing abelly dance when he came up as the biggest loser playing tai ti), watching movies they were shoing on TV( Untouchables, Interview with the Vampire), and watching a DVD movie(28 days later). I recommended that one, and Matthew agreed after teh movie that it's a good film which it is! The Lord went to sleep at about 4 plus. i remember falling asleep in Vikram's room during a converstaion with Dhino who was heartily engaged in chatting with American chicks online. When i woke up at about 830,..i walked into the living room, and everyone was already gone...it felt strange( abit like the guy in 28 days later who woke up to find himslef alone in London). I cleaned up the place a bit before going back to sleep.

Well, anyway,..happy new year once again guys,..and let's hope for a great year ahead after that miserable piece of crap that was 2004!
